WordPress websites
WordPress websites your team can edit without calling us.
Custom block themes, WooCommerce stores, migrations and speed work — built so the person who changes a price is the person who runs the business, not the person who built the site.
In one paragraph
Latx Technologies builds and rebuilds WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores for business owners in India, the United Kingdom and the United States. Every site is fully custom, written from scratch — we do not use free or paid themes, and we do not use page builders such as Elementor. Work covers custom block themes, plugin development, migrations from other platforms, Core Web Vitals performance work and ongoing care. Every site is handed over with admin access, the theme source, no licence that expires, and two months of maintenance included.
The decision that costs you the most
Why we build from scratch.
Most WordPress sites at this level are assembled rather than built. It is faster for the agency and more expensive for you, in three specific ways.
-
Assembled from a theme
Four layers your pages never asked for, two of which renew every year.
- Premium theme Renews yearly
- Page builder Renews yearly
- Add-on pack Unused code
- Demo content Unused code
-
Written for you
Three layers, all of them yours, none of them renewing.
- Custom block theme Yours
- Editable blocks Yours
- Search settings you control Yours
-
No Bloated Code
Themes and page builders often load features, widgets, and scripts your website never uses. We build lean, purpose-driven websites that load faster—especially on mobile networks.
-
No Recurring Licence Fees
Premium themes and page builders can mean recurring annual costs just to keep receiving updates. A custom build eliminates those licence dependencies, so your website isn’t tied to another yearly subscription.
-
Your Content Stays Yours
Page builders can store content in their own structures, making it difficult to move away later. We use standard WordPress content, keeping your website maintainable, portable, and under your control.
What you get
Six things included on every build.
None of these are line items you add on. They are what the standard build is, which is the comparison worth making when two quotes look similar.
-
Fully custom, from scratch
No free or paid themes. No page builders. Every component is clean, lightweight and made specifically for your site, so nothing loads that your pages do not use.
-
You stay in control
All of your content is editable from the WordPress dashboard. Day-to-day changes never need a developer, and never need a support ticket.
-
Built-in SEO controls
Titles, meta descriptions, social previews and indexing settings are yours to manage on every page, so the site stays search-friendly over time.
-
Fully responsive
It looks and works properly on every screen size, from a small phone to a wide desktop, checked on real devices rather than only in an emulator.
-
High scores where it matters
Performance and accessibility are build requirements, not a later optimisation pass. Faster load times, a better experience, and stronger footing in search.
-
2 months of maintenance
After delivery we cover content changes and bug fixes for two months, so you are supported once you go live rather than handed a login and wished luck.
What we build
Six kinds of WordPress project.
Most enquiries are one of these. If yours is not, say so in the enquiry and we will tell you honestly whether it is work we should take.
-
New websites
A marketing site on a custom block theme: your structure, your content model, your editors. No page builder, so nothing loads code the page never uses.
-
WooCommerce stores
Product catalogues, variations, UPI and cash on delivery, courier integration, and a checkout cut down to the fields an order genuinely needs.
-
Redesigns
Rebuilding a site that works commercially without throwing away the rankings it earned. Redirect mapping is part of the job, not an afterthought.
-
Custom themes and plugins
Custom post types, fields and blocks when your content is not posts and pages. Written as a small plugin so the data survives a future theme change.
-
Migrations
Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, static HTML or an older WordPress install, moved with the content, the URLs and the redirects intact
-
Speed, security and care
Core Web Vitals work, malware cleanup, and monthly updates with off-site backups that get restored occasionally to prove they work.
How it runs
Five stages, in this order.
The same five stages as every other project, with the WordPress specifics named at each one. The full version is on the process page.
-
Stage 01
Scope and content model
Before design, we decide what kinds of content the site holds — pages, products, team members, locations, menus — and what fields each one needs. Getting this wrong is what makes a site expensive to change later.
- You approve
- The scope and the fixed quote
-
Stage 02
Design on real content
Layouts drawn against your actual copy and your actual product names, not lorem ipsum. Designs that only work with perfect-length headlines fall apart on the day you publish.
-
Stage 03
Build on a custom block theme
Semantic HTML, a theme in version control, and blocks named after what they are for. Plugins only where a plugin genuinely earns its place, each one recorded with the reason it is installed.
- You get
- A staging link from week one
-
Stage 04
Performance, accessibility and search
Core Web Vitals measured on a throttled mobile profile, WCAG 2.2 AA checked by keyboard and screen reader, schema markup emitted, and every old URL redirected to its new home before launch rather than after it.
-
Stage 05
Handover and training
A session with whoever will actually edit the site, a written one-page guide, and admin access in your own name. The test we use: can they publish a new page without calling us? If not, we have not finished.
Common questions
WordPress, answered plainly.
What does WordPress website development include?
A written scope, design against real content, a custom block theme built in version control, performance work measured against Core Web Vitals, accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, schema markup, redirects for any existing URLs, and a training session with the person who will edit the site.
How long does a WordPress website take?
It depends on the content model and how quickly content and photography arrive — projects stall on missing content far more often than on code. We give a date in the written scope, before work starts, and we do not publish a generic timeline here because it would be a guess about your project.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The theme source sits in a Git repository in your account, the hosting and domain are in your name, and every plugin is licensed to you. Nothing stops working if you move to another developer, and there is no proprietary layer to license back.
Can you fix or redesign an existing WordPress site?
Yes, and it is a large share of the work we do. A redesign starts with an audit of the current site, a redirect map so existing rankings survive, and an honest opinion about whether a rebuild or a repair is the better use of your money.
Proof
WordPress projects.
Each case study covers the brief, the build, what went wrong, and what changed after launch.
-
AAMD Foundation
A custom-coded site with no bought theme and no page builder, so the foundation’s own team keeps every page current.
-
Lumea Beauty
Large photography that still arrives quickly on a phone, which is a build decision rather than a design compromise.
-
AJ Techment
A services site for an audience that opens the developer tools before replying to an email.

A few lines is enough. A developer reads it and replies within one business day — with questions, or with a rough shape of the work.
